Multiplayer DLC/Crossplay List

Many games companies have different policies when it comes to games with DLC that have multiplayer components. Some need everyone to own the DLC, others need only one person, usually the host. As such it can be difficult to tell what games you can play with your friends without needing to ask them to pay up front to play with you or requiring you to play a game with whole sections of the game you are used to carved out.

Some games will not allow crossplay between platforms like Playstation and Xbox, some even won’t allow the same platform purchased from different stores, like Steam and Epic. This is another hurdle to playing games with your friends.

This is our attempt to catalogue all the games we come across that fall into this category and give you the basic run down on how they work. Having played a variety of games that all have different rules, it can be a pain trying to find out which ones are worth looking into.

You will be able to use this to look up a game you are interested in playing together or to search for new games that one person can buy everything for and the others just the base game, or, as we tended to do, all chip in to buy the host each DLC to spread the costs of what can sometimes be hundreds of dollars worth of DLC.
